Project Homeless Connect in Holland...

On August 18th, OAHC will host a Project Homeless Connect gathering in Holland. The event is part of a national effort to connect homeless populations with their local communities in order to:

  • Provide essential information and services to homeless or potentially homeless people
  • Improve access to services and housing
  • Increase collaboration and involvement among the homeless and the businesses, nonprofits, and individual volunteers seeking solutions to homelessness

Two dozen local service providers and businesses will lend a hand by committing financial or inkind donations for the event.

If you are homeless or believe you may be at risk of homelessness, or if you would like to provide services, donations, or support for the event, contact Lyn Raymond at 616.738.1170 or email oachcoord@gmail.com

Project Homeless Connect will be held on August 18 from 11am to 4pm at the Midtown Center, 96 W 15th Street in Holland and will coincide with OAHC’s Point-in-Time Count—a twice annual count of persons living in Ottawa County emergency shelters, transitional housing, and in places not intended for human habitation. The Point-in-Time count begins at 3am on August 18th.
