Love INC Ministry Center Tours...

Love INC is launching the public phase of its Ministry Center Capital Campaign and will host of series of open houses three Monday in May (9th, 16th, 23rd) from noon to 1pm and again from 4 to 6 pm.

Feel free to drop in at 1515 S. DeSpelder Street, Grand Haven for this great opportunities to tour the facility and enjoy an informal open house.

Financial Management Class...

Do you struggle with money? Want to save more? Community Action House has developed  an 8-week program to boost your financial acumen and help you get ahead financially. Participants who attend all 8 weeks will earn a certificate, but all are welcome to attend any class.  Class are open to all residents, free of charge.

Classes are held on Wednesday evenings, 6-8 pm at the Macatawa Resource Center. To register, call Mike Brown 616.738.1170 x117.

Fair Housing Center May Book Club...

The Fair Housing Center of West Michigan invites you to join them in reading and discussing The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.

The semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story highlights the spiritual and psychological highs and lows of living on a reservation–a place of stagnation as well as a place of strong family roots and long-lasting love.

The May book discussion will take place Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:45 a.m at the Disability Network Lakeshore office (426 Century Lane, Holland).

Legal Self-Help Center Helps Those Who Represent T...

Ottawa County’s Legal Self-Help Center provides trained support on a walk-in basis for people who want to resolve a wide range of non-criminal matters without the assistance of a lawyer–including child and family issues, small claims cases, tenant/landlord disputes, estate issues, and more.  The service is free, although there is a charge for some forms to help cover copying costs.

The Legal Self-Help Center is located in the Ottawa County Courthouse building at 414 Washington Street, room 220 in Grand Haven. They’re open daily Monday through Friday.
